Why journalism?

When I was a child I dreamed with the idea of being a teacher, or a scientific, but this change during the school. At high school my ideas of careers were philosophy teacher, nutritionist, lawyer, lenguaje teacher and most important, writer. I didn’t knew how to get the title of writer, and the closer profesion was journalist, so I choose it. My experience at university has been vey good, I have had funny moments, I have made very good friends, but I can’t say everything has been laugh, I also had dark moments, like when I freeze. I hope in the future, my job will be writing in diferent digital medias and freelance.

Zarité is a slave, a prostitute, Viollett bring her at the house of Toulouse Valmorain, the master of the estate. Zarité was buyed to be the personal slave of Eugenia, the Valmorain wife. All along his life she is victim of physical and sexual violence from Valmorian. She gives brith to a boy that is taken from her… All her history is about violence and abuse, but obiously she discover love, and paradoxically freedoom through dance and music. I knew her in the Isabel Allende’s book, “The island under the sea” (La isla bajo el mar) a historical and romantic novel, set in the caribean. Gender violence and violence in general is despicted in the way her body suffer, she, like a woman and a slave it’s doubly violated. I say only her body because she always says that is free in spirit especially when she is dancing. We can see that now the situation change, we don’t hace slavery like in the eighteen century, but we stil have the violence towards women just just for be...

Let's drag our lives

My favorite TV Show is RuPaul’s Drag Race, it’s a reality show that shows the competition between drag queens to become the next American’s drag super star. At the moment it has eleven seasons, and one more is confirmed. Every season has at least twelve episodes and in each one the queens work in competitions that prove their charisma, uniqueness nerve and talent, and at the end of the episode one of them have to  lip-sync for their lives , and the loser has to  sashay away . The host is RuPaul (Luv u mama Ru), the most important drag queen in the industry, she is a model, singer, dancer, producer… omg everything, and created the show to help other queens, and introduce them in the industry. My favorite Queen is Valentina, a Latina, very dramatic, elegant, funny and smart that is controversial because she has only been drag queen for ten months before she entry, that is nothing compared to queens that have been working for year...
